For something a little more sedate how about heading to Trenance Boating Lake? Located just on the outskirts of Newquay town, and situated within Trenance Park, an area with beautiful gardens.

The boating lake enables families to hire pedaloes and rowing boats, or you can sit around the lake feeding the ducks. Alongside the lake is the Lakeside Café and ice cream parlour.

Within the beautiful grounds you can find Trenance Cottage Tea Rooms, an attractive, Georgian Property located in mature gardens. Indoors, the Tea Room has seating for up to 26 people, and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique Georgian and Victorian tables where High Teas, Cakes and Light Lunches are often served on fine China.

Just across the road from Newquay Boating Lake you can ride on the miniature railway, or play a round of crazy golf, squash or tennis.
