Crantock Beach

Nr Newquay, Cornwall

Cornwall is known for its beautiful beaches, and this is definitely one to visit. We are situated just 1 and a half miles from Crantock beach, which can be reached by walking across Cubert Common. The sand here is soft, golden and stretches far and wide. The River Gannel separates Crantock from Newquay and during high tide you can catch a small ferry boat over the water. Just on the other side The Fern Pit boathouse sell the freshest Cornish crab and lobster.

The sea is ideal for both swimming and surfing, wetsuit hire is available on the beach.

When the tide goes out, The Gannel reveals rock pools and areas for children to swim and play that have been warmed up by the sun.

Crantock Beach s is also the ideal place to walk of an early evening to experience the great Cornish sunsets we have here.

The National Trust provides a parking area for easy access to this beach.
